The weather hasn’t been very kind to us these past few weeks since the move, I think we have had 1 full dry day – let’s hope Spring is on the way with some drier days or the horses may have to learn some Aqua Aerobics!
Like us, horses and ponies have a set of baby (deciduous) teeth that are replaced with adult (permanent) teeth as they age. The first teeth to be replaced are the middle four incisors, two at the top and two on the bottom.
Well, we have had a mammoth last couple of weeks. I'm finally able to release our big new yipee!! After 7 months (felt like a whole lot longer!!) of stress, tears and never giving up...I'm pleased to say we are now yard owners!!

Diva has been keeping up with her resolution to do more exercise, and last weekend we walked through North Luffenham and past the village pub. Unfortunately, it was too early for us to pop in, so Diva remains unaware of our plans to have a drink en route. We will head to South Luffenham next week to check out the pubs there.
Every horse owner wants their mount to look their best. However, getting your equine’s coat, mane and tail to sparkle and shine can prove to be a bit of a challenge.
The troublesome trio have definitely been disruptive this week that’s for sure! After a fairly long time of quite good behaviour they decided it was time to revert! Aria has been a bit of a pain this week – we done some schooling work and the little she devil decided she was to full of it to concentrate!
January is one of those months that can certainly seem twice as long as it really is, and the recent weather hasn’t done anything to dispel these feelings. However, for anyone involved in the county showing season, it is a month where the first plans for the campaign are made.
