As with many other hobbies and disciplines, the equine world is full of jargon that may be confusing to someone who has recently got into horse riding.

After the worst winter I can remember and first winter with the horses at home, with no facilities, i had to give up, keep the horses in most of the time and abandon riding for 6 weeks.

2020 hasn't quite got off to the start anyone would want. All Christmas I have been battling a really bad case of Uveitis with Beanie and unfortunately he never recovered.

It was nice this weekend to get a bit of relief from all that wet stuff! Although a bit nippy, the early mornings were very pretty with the frost across the landscape!

Like most of us, come January 1^st Diva decided to make a New Year’s Resolution. And again, like most of us, it involves exercise. Unfortunately, since she is only a little Shetland pony, this resolution also includes me!

It’s a new year and a fresh start as we enter 2020! I'm very excited about this year as I have a lot of plans as to what I want to achieve so best get my butt in gear! Annoyingly my back is still not 100% - although it felt better in the afternoon before I started back at work - typical grr!

We hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas!! It's been a bit hectic for us in the last couple of weeks running up to the big day but I'm pleased to say I managed to get the horsebox out to a show and it ran beautifully hurrah.
