What a corker of the last few days! We’ve achieved quite a lot in a short space of time! We have had Aria’s stable built now hurrah (although my bank account did not rejoice), the guys turned up and had it up quite quickly which was brilliant, they’ve also secured it into the concrete so no chance of it blowing away!
The lorry is currently waiting for an MOT, which is a frustrating wait! I should have booked way earlier, sadly 6 weeks notice was not enough. My mechanic is optimistic it needs very little work, just general wear and tear, which is music to my ears when funding a 7.5tonne. Nothing has been quiet though while waiting......
I have now been to my second western show and first western championships and I have learnt so much, however what I have mostly taken away from the experience is that I still have a never ending amount of things to learn and I definitely need to increase my lessons and support.
I’m not sure why I was surprised, but the clocks going back an hour really caught me out this year. I just wasn’t ready yet for my winter yard routine. I work late two nights per week, and so when it gets dark before I finish work I tend to leave the horses in for the day.
