Not a great start initially as on arriving he was immediately tense, he spotted some horses grazing in the fields by the riding school next door and started calling, then he spotted the busy car boot sale a few fields away and became even more tense argh!
A bit of an up and down week this week with the weather, a few lovely days but rain and winds too. Unfortunately the one day of winds caused the trio to turn in to absolute wimps who would bolt and fly buck as the swish of a branch.
Took the big lad out for a jumping the lesson last weekend which was fab as he hadn’t been out for a few weeks due to the horsebox battery failing on the last show day!
So what did we get up to recently? Well all the preparation and leg pain were finally put to the test as the old gal and I ventured out for our first dressage test!
We are keeping a very close eye on all the latest Brexit news and working closely with our insurers to ensure our customers interests are looked after. The weather is dealing us a false sense of security but any excuse to get the ponies' rugs off however, we've had a rather sad day at the yard this weekend.
We had a lovely week and weekend in the sun and took the opportunity to go out for hack with a friend which is always great fun when you can ride with someone else.
